Remotely auditing suppliers, gaining competitive advantage using sustainability standards, and retail product flows are among the topics that will be discussed by industry experts at the upcoming edition of F2F Sourcing Show. The 2nd edition of the virtual trade show for the global textile-apparel industry is scheduled to be held from September 6-19, 2021.

In addition to new features like Knowledge Centre, Networking Lounge and Try-On Digital Draping, the virtual trade event will facilitate live interaction with industry leaders and help visitors gain knowledge insights through webinars.

Dr. Christian Schindler, director general of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), will speak on 'The global textile industry between efficiency and resilience' at the forthcoming event. Linda Wegelin, group market development manager at TESTEX, the independent Swiss testing and certification organisation, will throw light on 'How sustainability standards can contribute to competitive advantage', while Bill Mills, owner of Ethical Supply Chains, will explain 'How to audit suppliers remotely'.

Other industry experts who will be sharing their knowledge on the virtual platform include Rick Helfenbein, independent consultant and former chairman, president & CEO of the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), who will speak on 'Retail 2022 product flows: Do we call it Supply Chain or Demand Chain?'.

Robert Antoshak, consultant to the global fibre, textile and apparel industries, will discuss on the subject: 'After COVID, will price inflation be permanent or temporary?', while Joachim Hensch, mentor at Joachim Hensch Consulting and former managing director at HUGO BOSS, will talk on 'Hyper complexity – Hyper Personalization: How to stay in business with the means of Industry 4.0'.

"F2F Sourcing Show is not only an event for networking and exploring business opportunities, but is also a place to gain knowledge and insights about the current and pressing issues. Such information definitely helps decisionmakers in carving out future strategies at their companies," says Jose Daniel, executive director of Fibre2Fashion, the organiser of the sourcing show.

This year's attraction at the virtual trade event for apparel, fabric and yarn exhibitors includes Vendor Connect where representatives from some of the most well-known global brands will be among the visitors. Vendor Connect will help brands and buyers connect with leading and qualified suppliers, manufacturers, exporters and vendors specific to their sourcing needs.

American clothing and apparel companies like Columbia Sportswear, Hanes Brands, Kontoor, VF Corporation, Deckers Brands, Gap, and e-commerce company Amazon have already informed the organisers about their participation. Also participating are Inditex, Kiabi, Portwest, Sportmaster, Lacoste, Seasalt, Cornwall, Asmara, Lever Style.
