INVISTA focuses on high performance fabrics at F&A Show

INVISTA, one of the world's largest integrated producers of polymers and fibers, and owner of the LYCRA fiber brand, will present high performances fabric innovations at the 9th Fabrics and Accessories Trade Show (F&A Show) in Bangaluru (June 01-03).
The latest innovations by INVISTA include Narrows with LYCRA fiber, LYCRA dualFX fabric, and COOLMAX fabric. These high performance innovations will be showcased along with LYCRA BEAUTY fabric, TOUGH MAX LYCRA fabric, LYCRA FREEF!T fabric and THERMOLITE fabric.
With the evolving intimate apparel market in India, consumers are increasingly looking for improved fit and comfort in their garments. Traditionally Indian consumers have always preferred 100% combed cotton fabric, however waistband or elastics remained a constant irritant. This is where INVISTA has presented narrows with LYCRA fiber which provide increased comfort and fit.
INVISTA has recently introduced a new branding to communicate the benefits of LYCRA fiber in Narrows to the Indian consumers. This comes as a response to the industry demand of LYCRA brand identification for garments that contain LYCRA fiber only in narrows.
This program was launched during the recently held LYCRA Rendezvous in New Delhi, speaking on this occasion Avinash Chandra, Marketing Head-South Asia said “INVISTA is committed to help the industry move ahead and strongly believes that this new branding will help brand and retailers connect with end-consumer looking for comfort and fit in their innerwear garments”.
With increasing westernization consumers are increasingly looking for super stretch garments particularly denim. The advent of super stretch jeans – those with 30% stretch or more – has posed challenges for both denim producers and consumers alike. While extra stretch often yields extra comfort, it can also result in jeans with a greater tendency to bag and sag.
LYCRA dualFX fabrics were created in response to the market demand for high stretch fabrics that keep their shape. Typically, as fabric stretch increases so does the tendency for fabric growth or shrinkage. By combining LYCRA fiber and LYCRA T400 fiber together in one fabric, denim brands and retailers can get the best of both worlds – the high stretch of LYCRA fiber and the excellent recovery power of LYCRA T400 fiber. The result is super stretch denims that are comfortable to wear and retain their shape and fit over time thanks to patented INVISTA technologies.
Sweating is body's natural mechanism to stay cool. INVISTA's COOLMAX fabric helps the body cool and dry faster by moving moisture away from the body and enhancing fabric drying rate. The moisture management performance of COOLMAX fabric is inherent to the fiber structure itself; therefore, the performance cannot be washed off.
