Values for the Indian Shankar-6 variety increased in international terms over the past month, rising from 83 cents/lb to 85 cents/lb, due to a strengthening rupee. In domestic terms, values were flat to lower, holding to levels between Rs 43,000 and Rs 44,000 per candy of 356 kg. The May New York futures contract declined to 75 cents/lb recently.
