“Vietnamese Minister of Trade Truong Dinh Tuyen and Mandelson have agreed that two sides will keep talking to find out the best solution in favor of both,” reported Phan Thuy Thanh, Vietnamese Ambassador to EU, after March 3 meeting between Vietnamese delegation and EC's Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson, at Brussels.
This is a delegation led by Vietnamese Ministry of Trade's chief to EU to prevail upon EC to limit the anti-dumping lawsuit on Vietnamese leather – capped shoes exports to EU, which is expected to adversely impact the nation's footwear industry.
Thanh informed that Peter Mandelson and EC appreciated the delegation's efforts to resolve the issue.
