Guangdong shoe industry makes a shift to Sinchuan

A meeting on shoe making industry of Guangdong Province was held on April 15 in Guangzhou City.
During the meeting the shoes-manufacturing enterprises of Guangdong Province entered into 17 investment agreements with 10 industrial parks of Sichuan Province, with funds amounting to 4.6 billion yuan.
According to the Vice Governor of Sinchuan Province, signing of these contracts essentially means that the region was gradually taking hold of the shoe-making industry of Guangdong Province to become the new footwear center of China.
The gradual shift of the footwear industry from Guangdong to Sinchuan can largely be attributed to the advantages; the latter has with regard to low cost of labor, a supportive industrial chain and a huge market space.
