KSW aims to produce 70,000 safety shoes per month

King's Safety Ware (KSW), Batam, a safety shoes producer has set a target of producing around 70,000 safety shoes a month next year, in a bid to attain demands from European countries.
The company produced 40,000 safety shoes a month this year and has received orders from the Netherlands and Germany, said Ms. Sasmita Winata, Managing Director, KSW Batam.
Though the competition is very tough, the company is optimistic regarding its target achievement, as it plans to acquire a German shoe producer to get better acceptability in the European market, she said.
KSW has manufactured around 8 million pairs of safety shoes during years 2007 and 2009, she informed.
