Total Protection Footwear exceeds European Safety Standards

Rock Fall (UK) Ltd has released its ground breaking Tomcat range of stylish Total Protection Footwear, the first to incorporate internal metatarsal protection to meet European S3 Safety Standards.

Based in Alfreton, Derbyshire, the leading designer and manufacturer of quality protective safety footwear has launched its revolutionary range to help reduce the number and severity of metatarsal injuries, a widespread and extremely painful, debilitating injury to suffer.

Designed for the comfort and safety of personnel working in construction, engineering, quarry, mineral processing and extraction industries, and similar working environments, the boots were developed through extensive research and testing to become the next industry standard, replacing the traditionally heavy, uncomfortable, unsightly and expensive boots currently on the market.

The range has taken more than two years to develop and surpasses the EN ISO 20345:2004/A1 2007 European Safety Standards. The main design feature is the patented, integral metatarsal protector: a lightweight, flexible inner plate that protects the wearer's fragile metatarsal bones from impact. Throughout the development of the boots, Rock Fall also registered 5 design features for protection. The footwear is manufactured to the highest S3 specification and also protects the user's toes and sole with a metal toecap and steel mid-sole.

This pioneering range has been crafted utilising state-of-the-art technology and the highest quality materials. Using full grain leather and Rock Fall's unique 'Activ-step' foot-bed for supreme comfort, the boots also feature rubber outsoles constructed for the highest durability and are able to withstand heat up to 300 °C. Developed with the wearer and their specific working environment in mind, the range also includes a fully waterproof design.

Stephen Noon – Rock Fall UK's managing director who conceived the concept of the boot commented: “For many years now we have protected part of a wearer's foot. We at Rock Fall feel that the industry should look to protect the whole foot and make the end-user as comfortable as possible whilst carrying out their day's work.”

The message from Rock Fall is clear; give your workpeople the protection they deserve with the only comfortable, durable and stylish internal metatarsal safety boot available.

Rock Fall UK Ltd (rockfall.co.uk) has become a leading name for high quality safety footwear and clothing. The success of the Rock Fall brand is owed to its ability for safety products to be, not only functional, but also fashionable. The company strives to meet the needs of its customers and suppliers by offering extremely competitively priced products that are always delivered on time.

As well as promoting its own brands, including: 'Tomcat', 'ProMan' and more recently, a new ladies safety footwear range called 'Vixen', Rock Fall also designs and develops bespoke branded work wear. With over 24 years experience in the footwear industry, Rock Fall has established an excellent reputation in providing a professional and innovative service to a wide range of industries.

Rock Fall (UK) Ltd developed its new Tomcat range of metatarsal protective footwear to satisfy a demand for increased safety, appearance and better value. The range took over two years to develop and excels EN ISO 20345:2004/A1 2007 European Safety standards. The footwear is manufactured to S3 specification and also protects the user's toes and sole with a metal toecap and steel mid-sole. Rock Fall has protected its patented metatarsal design and registered designs on the footwear.
