Amazon most trusted Internet brand in India: TRA Research

Amazon is the most trusted Internet brand in India, followed by Google and Facebook, according to the ‘Brand Trust Report 2019’ by brand intelligence and data insights company TRA Research. Indian messaging app Hike ranked fourth, beating Whatsapp, which ranked 10th. Indian accommodation service provider and online hotel room aggregator Oyo Rooms ranked fifth.
The company studied 32 Internet brands, according to Indian media reports.
Indian online taxi aggregator Ola ranked sixth, while US-based Uber ranked 14th. Indian online payment service provider Paytm ranked 19th, a place above its global rival PayPal.
The brands that focus on creating trust along with profits and growth are the ones that will survive in this business, said TRA chief executive officer N Chandramouli.
The other players in the top 10 were Flipkart, LinkedIn and Snapdeal, in the seventh, eighth and ninth ranks, respectively. (DS)
