Amazon's 'Made for You' store offers $25 custom T-shirts

Amazon recently opened a custom clothing store, allowing US shoppers to buy T-shirts that conform to their specifications. In the ‘Made for You’ store, customers can submit details about weight, height and body type, and two photos through Amazon’s app or website. With eight colour options, one can pick how long he would like the T-shirt and sleeves to be.

Customers can choose between two cotton-based fabrics, the fit type, and crew or V-neck. Amazon can print the customer’s name on the label as well, according to US media reports.

Once all that has been decided, the customer can see how the custom shirt looks on a virtual version of himself and make adjustments before placing his order. The T-shirts cost $25 each.

Amazon said the customer’ photographs are deleted from its database after use.

‘Made for You’ may expand to other styles and items in the future.

Amazon's Halo fitness device, which became broadly available recently, produces a body fat percentage reading when customers take a full-body selfie with the accompanying app. Earlier this year, Amazon shut down its Echo Look device, which offered style suggestions based on images it captured of customers.
