Eka collaborates with TSCO for LFW summer show

Fashion designer Rina Singh's label Eka will create a new collection for the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer Resort 2020 for which it recently joined hands with the Telangana State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society Ltd (TSCO). An initiative to empower the state’s handloom clusters, the collection will deviate from conventional design language.
The collection, titled ‘Jo, the rebellious one’, is inspired by Jo's character from Louisa May Alcott's classic ‘The Little Women’ and will present the textiles through free-flowing shapes, soft textures and layers, according to a news agency report.
The design intervention brought about by Eka will showcase the state’s textiles in a new light, said Jayesh Ranjan, principal secretary of the state’s industries and commerce department.
