The soul of the collection, by designer Amit Aggarwal, lies in tribal influences like weaving techniques, striped tattoos and structured jewelry. A modern interpretation of these ideas is taken forward as menswear details find their way on to couture dresses in a beautiful synthesis of androgyny with feminity.

Black coupled with saturated and deep tones appear on washed matt silks, crepe de chine and duchess satin, while tulle blurs the edges and suggests a softer, darker romance.

Structured silhouettes that are strong and crafted to the body are distinct features of this collection.

About Amit Aggarwal

After graduating from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi in 2002, Amit Aggarwal showcased his collections through student competitions around the world, and soon began working with some of India’s most accomplished designers, such as Tarun Tahiliani. He then headed the design team of Creative Impex, part of the Creative Group, before starting MORPHE in 2008, in collaboration with the Creative Group. In May 2012, he launched his eponymous label ‘Amit Aggarwal’.
