Antiquorum to present at "ONLY WATCH 2005" charity event in Sept

One of the most innovative auctioneers in the world Antiquorum is going to host Only Watch 2005 fair in September 2005.
In an unprecedented collaboration, the major watch manufacturers have agreed to donate each a unique watch to help promote research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
The kick-off for the charity event “ONLY WATCH 2005”, to aid research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy, took place on December 16 at a cocktail party at the Lausanne Palace Hotel.
Under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert of Monaco, Luc Pettavino (Initiator of the project, President of Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies and Founder of the United Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy), Osvaldo Patrizzi, Chairman of the well-known auction house Antiquorum, and the Directors of the 34 most important watchmaking firms in the world.
Over the next few months, 34 of the world's most renowned watch manufacturers will create a watch which is either unique, or is the number 1 of a new series.
The auction will be held on September 22, 2005, in the Principality of Monaco. It will take place at the MONACO YACHT SHOW, a world-famous pleasure-yacht show. One of Monte-Carlo's most important events, it is on a par with the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The profits from the auction will help finance international clinical trials on Duchenne Muscular Dystrohpy driven by Parents Associaions which aims to aid and promote international scientific and medical research, in the hope of finding the means of first slowing the disease's progress, and then curing it.
