Threadworks portrays rustic & primitive forms of life

“Thread Works” an exhibition of Textile Design final year students' projects, was organized on 24 & 25 May 2011 by Pearl Academy of Fashion at The Stainless Gallery. The exhibition, assures to offer a glimpse of the myriad of creative talent and student's individualistic design philosophy. The exhibition showcased the work of the graduating cohort 2007-11 of BA (Hons.) Textile Design programme. Mr Sumeet, CEO, Raj Overseas, Mr. Anchal Jain, founder of NUN, and Mr. Rakesh Agarwal, Designer have kindly consented to grace the occasion as the chief guests.
The exhibition was based on various themes which were represented by the students of textile design department through their works. 26 graduating students showcased their works in the form of Apparel, home furnishings, floor coverings, accessories, pet's collection etc.
The themes which include, “Brahmand”, “Time Machine”, “the Virtual World” and “Marrakesh” and many more, portray rustic and primitive forms of life, combination of ancient and primitive times, technology, and mysticism of the desert respectively.
Pearl Academy of Fashion has been in the field of fashion and design education for the past 18 years. The academy offers curriculum in design and business which is at par with international standards and delivered by highly qualified faculty. The Graduates of the Academy are highly sought after in the fashion and design industry, and a number of PAF alumni are in key positions at leading design houses and fashion companies worldwide.
