The Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2019, a business event on sustainability in fashion to be held on May 15-16, has lined up six new influential names for the programme as speakers. In partnership with group of strategic partners like Kering, H&M, Target, Bestseller, Li & Fung, and Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Global Fashion Agenda leads the fashion industry.

Emanuel Chirico is chair and CEO of PVH, the owner of iconic brands, including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, Speedo, Warner’s, and Izod. Emanuel Chirico has made philanthropy and corporate responsibility key pillars in how PVH conducts business, according to a press release on the summit.

Helen Crowley is the head of sustainable sourcing innovation at Kering. She has a background in field-based conservation and development, market-based conservation initiatives and designing corporate-NGO partnerships.

Anita Dongre has been at the forefront of Indian fashion for over 25 years, having created one of the most successful fashion houses in India. Dongre’s designs showcase Indian aesthetics for the global woman of today, keeping comfort at its core.

Noel Kinder is Nike’s chief sustainability officer and leads its global sustainability team. He was previously vice president of sustainable manufacturing and sourcing, where he was responsible for collaborating with Nike’s business units and working with factory leadership, representatives in academia and within the NGO community on the evolution of the company’s sustainable business performance policies.

Dorte Rye Olsen is Bestseller’s sustainability manager. Sustainability has been a primary focus for her in the more than two decades she has worked in the textile and fashion industry. She has extensive experience with sustainability from a brand perspective and is active in several industry associations, such as Better Cotton Initiative, Sustainable Apparel Coalition, and Ethical Trading Initiative.

Samuel Ross launched his streetwear menswear label A-Cold-Wall in 2015, a self-funded label inspired by the British class system that reflects his personal story. Since its launch, the label has gained a loyal following and experienced steady growth. (GK)
