Gruppocinque displays fabric collections at JITAC fair

CLASS partner Gruppocinque is showcasing its Gruppocinque and Swing fabric lines at the ongoing JITAC European textile fair being held in Tokyo, Japan. The Gruppocinque collection is made up of different sub-lines, while the Swing line offers more ideas for the complex world of outwear, ranging over different types of natural and synthetic fabrics.

In the making of the 2017/2018 fall-winter collection, Gruppocinque followed the path of emotional and sensorial evolution without leaving out the fundamental aspect of responsibility. The Nogender sub-line of the Gruppocinque collection puts forward the evolution of the historical product with a new, androgynous tactile perception, while Luxury is a tri-dimensional, futuristic theme inspired by planets and constellations.

The Fluidi & Cotton Evolution sub-line of the Gruppocinque collection represents the corporate knowhow translated into natural fibres. The historical items' structures are overturned, for what concerns both the density and the weaves on twisted and blended cotton bottoms with viscose and Cupro. As for Into the Winter sub-line, it is how Gruppocinque interprets the evolution of wools and wool blends.

The Swing line aims at transmitting the content of the matter to consumers, raising their perception of tactile and colour-aesthetic awareness. The textile research shows the necessity to highlight types of spontaneity that are free from any compulsory scheme, in order to leave room to applications that, despite being non-experimental, take into account a daily life rich in energy and movement, fluid in the chromatic effects.

“The fabrics narrate a lifestyle, they are immediate in their beauty and they excite with colours and constantly new and original jacquard patterns, in order to offer something that goes beyond current trends,” said Lorella Paulotto, one of the founding partners of Gruppocinque and the current group's leader.

“Besides the product's strong emotional and creative connotation, there is the guarantee of high quality standards, both in the choice of raw materials and throughout the whole production process. The latter, in fact, is 100 per cent made in Italy and 100 per cent traceable thanks to a supply chain made of partners of excellence, carefully chosen by Gruppocinque around the territory,” continued Paulotto.
