HOAD brings in Bijit Nair as retail chief

The House of Anita Dongre (HOAD) has strengthened its senior management with the appointment of Bijit Nair as President – Retail. Nair will have responsibility for all of the company's operating units and expansion. He will report directly to Managing Director Mukesh Sawlani, the fashion house said in a press release.
Nair joins HOAD from the Benetton Group, where he played a pivotal role in the distribution and growth of various brands under the company's umbrella. A student of hotel management, Nair has over 14 years of work experience across the retail and hospitality sector, and has won many awards and accolades during his tenure while being associated with organizations like Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, Benetton Group and Taj group.
"We are pleased to welcome Bijit to the House of Anita Dongre. His depth of knowledge and remarkable experience will bring a fresh perspective to our business. We also have a very aggressive roll out plan for our own EBO stores and we are targeting to add almost 100 new stores for the coming financial year across all our Brands. Bijit is a strong addition to our team and together, we will look at taking our brands to greater heights,” said Sawlani.
Nair said, “I am excited and honoured to take on this role and I look forward to my journey at the House of Anita Dongre. It will be a pleasure to work with the team and help accelerate the strategic actions we will be outlining to reinvigorate growth across all the brands in the organization.”
