Once again, Abedin explores her love for accessories with traditional pieces of vintage jewellery. In the Oasis collection one will find a prominent use of the metal tarboush – a typically Bedouin accessory, vintage purses, head scarves, and jewellery.
Through the Holy month the exclusive Oasis Collection presented by Queen of Spades at Galleries Lafayette, will also come alive in a special window displayed decorated by Petals, who specialize in exquisite luxury furniture, interiors, and theatrical weddings. Petals have incorporated traditional folk art and accessories to enhance the display window. Elements like hand-painted stencil work of old "berber" prints have been used as the backdrop, kilims used for the flooring; a hand of fatima has been built in and a huge Queen chair was created especially for the Queen of Spades window with beautiful embroidery work.
With the new Collection, Abedin takes Abaya lovers through a journey of the Bedouin culture into the welcoming world of the Oasis.
