Project Runway contestants visit FIDM

Contestants Joshua Christensen, Olivier Green, and Viktor Luna from Lifetime's Project Runway: Season 9 recently visited the FIDM Los Angeles campus and toured the FIDM Museum & Galleries' FABULOUS exhibition.
Joshua Christensen is a Fashion Design Student at FIDM. The Los Angeles-based menswear designer says that he realized he had talent, "When I started school and I started draping and my work started getting noticed." He currently designs the label Alastaire Grey. "I look to create clothing that inspires those who wear it to be an individual and confident in all that they seek to achieve," says the former banker.
Also on Season 9 was FIDM Alumna Serena de Conceicao, who works as a fashion designer in Brooklyn, New York. She says, "I have the drive, stamina, smarts, and talent, plus I love the challenge."
FIDM and Project Runway share a long history. FIDM is the West Coast home to the award-winning fashion competition show and Leanne Marshall, a graduate of FIDM, is a past winner. Other FIDM Alumni who have appeared on the show include Nick Verreos, Kelli Martin, Santino Rice, Daniel Franco, Guadalupe Vidal, Johnny Sakalis, and Sarah Trost.
