Specialty retailer Gymboree Corporation reported net sales from retail operations for the five-week period ended December 31, 2005, of $86.6 million, an increase of 20 percent compared to net sales from continuing retail operations of $72.1 million for the same five-week period last year.
Comparable store sales for the five-week period increased 16 percent compared to a 1 percent increase in comparable store sales for the same period last year.
The Company now expects that comparable store sales for the fourth quarter will be positive low double-digits compared to the prior year.
The Company now anticipates earnings from continuing operations for the fourth fiscal quarter to be in the range of $0.50 to $0.52 per diluted share.
For the full fiscal year 2005, the Company anticipates its earnings from continuing operations to be in the range of $0.90 to $0.92 per diluted share.
