Perry Ellis International Inc announces that it has entered into an agreement with CFDA-nominated menswear designers Duckie Brown. The collection, called Perry Ellis by Duckie Brown, marks the first apparel collaboration for the Perry Ellis brand and Duckie Brown.

The first collection will debut during New York Fashion Week in September 2012 and will feature looks designed by Duckie Brown principals, Steven Cox and Daniel Silver.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Duckie Brown. Steven and Daniel's talent for innovative menswear has made a real impact in the industry and they also truly understand the Perry Ellis DNA,” said Doug Jakubowski, the brand's Chief Merchandising Officer. “We look forward to presenting a fresh and exciting collection that combines their modern sensibility with the Perry Ellis heritage.”

A selection of looks inspired from the Perry Ellis by Duckie Brown collection may be incorporated into the main Perry Ellis collection. Perry Ellis will continue to produce the main Perry Ellis collection in addition to the Perry Ellis by Duckie Brown collection.

“Perry Ellis is synonymous with classic-yet-updated men's apparel and the brand has a vibrant legacy” said Steven Cox and Daniel Silver. “This opportunity has enormous potential and we are looking forward to bringing a new articulation of that legacy to retail.”

The Perry Ellis by Duckie Brown collection will be made available to select retailers and Perry Ellis stores for spring 2013.
