Reputed Sri Lankan fashion designer Chrysanthie Fernandopulle will present her latest collections after a 15-year gap at the tenth edition of Catwalk Rag, to be held on March 14, 2012.
Chrysanthie became famous after her creation won the award for National Costume when Rosy Senanayake was crowned Mrs. World.
Sarees and dresses in lace and pure silk would be displayed at this year's Catwalk Rag. Chrysanthie's collection will have block prints, wild animal prints and unique floral prints.
The designer will showcase seven lines in all. There will be a collection of white ready-to-wear party outfits in silk and lace.
Another line will have reflections from Chrysanthie's past collections and will have long dresses and sarees in tie/dye.
There will also be limited collection of silk evening dresses in black and a line inspired by Bollywood.
