Maria Bonita Label launches winter 2006 collection

Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association reported that The Rio brand, Maria Bonita Extra, is betting on a typically Brazilian winter, with light and loose pieces to face the cold season in the tropics. Therefore, the waistline is not very evident or it is shifted downwards.
Soft, fluid fabrics such as knits, facone, crepes and silks. Only a few heavy knits and trench coats are used since they are heavier.
There is so much freedom this winter that butterflies inspired the collection. They are applied are printed, whole or only wings.
The more structured cotton dresses and skirts have more evident waistlines with contrasting belts and volume around the hips. Sleeves are short. There are also straight shorts and culottes that should be worn with thick hosiery.
The Maria Bonita Group has its own retail network. The first collection for Maria Label was designed in 1990.
