AYMOD Footwear Fashion fair continues to grow

AYMOD, hosted numerous innovative products like platform heels, babettes, sneakers and boots. Innovative products that help to lose weight, fight against cellulite and rheumatism received huge interest of the visitors.

The 47th AYMOD International Footwear Fashion Fair brought together global players of the industry at the CNR Expo Center in Istanbul for the debut of the 2012 Fall - 2013 Winter season footwear fashion. A total of 35 thousand 748 professional visitors showed up during the fair this year.

47th AYMOD - International Footwear Fashion Fair, Turkey's largest and Europe's third largest footwear fair, brought together all representatives of the industry. AYMOD was organized by Pozitif Fuarcilik A.S., an affiliate of CNR Holding, held on April 19 – 22, 2012 in collaboration with TASEV (Turkish Shoe Industry Research, Development and Education Foundation), TASD ( Footwear Industrialists Association of Turkey ), TUAF (Federation of Turkish Footwear Manufacturers), IAESO (Istanbul Chamber of Footwear Tradesmen and Manufacturers) and KOSGEB (Republic of Turkey Ministry of Trade and Industry Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization).

This year 3090 foreign visitors and in total 35 thousand 748 professional visitors visited AYMOD. Compared to last year's figures, the percentage of foreign visitors increased by 30% and in terms of square meters by 15% increased. AYMOD did not only contribute to the economy also served as a platform to discuss sectoral problems at 60 thousand sq m total area.

47th AYMOD International Footwear Fashion Fair served as a meeting point for the innovative products this year. Numerous functional products from the ones burning fat while walking to the heated ones rising the temperature of the feet up to 65 degrees and designed for especially cold countries, left their mark upon AYMOD Fair.

Various interesting footwear designs were exhibited at AYMOD. The most noticeable exhibitor of AYMOD was Istanbul University with its special project called “Ice Age”. Istanbul University students inspired by the climate change of the world due to the global warming, designed a special footwear collection to be worn during the cold weather.

Additionally, the footwear designs which were in first 9 rank at the Footwear Design Contest during the year 2011 by IDMIB (Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters' Association).
