Unitedworld Institute of Design opens in Ahmedabad

“We will not compartmentalize the students of the various design disciplines but shall given them an opportunity to learn about other disciplines as well through subject electives and constant interaction with all students as well various design experts and teachers across the nation.,” said Prof. Pradeep Choksi an alumni from MSU and proven professional designer in the field of Graphics & Exhibition Design. He has more than four decades of experienec in design education.

Prof. Sevak, an alumni of CEPT University & professional designer and educationalist said, “The students of this institute will greatly benefit from experienced faculty. We believe that the three of us, with different specializations and skill sets, will form a good team that will successfully take this design institute forward.”

Talking about the advantages of the new design education initiative   Prof. Pankaj Patel said, “The advantage of setting up a design institute at this campus is that the students of design and management will be able to constantly interact with each other as they share the same Campus. It is a known composition of the Industries today, to have a perfect blend of excellence in management and expertise in innovation for new products. The students will be able to acquire the required skills and knowledge in the process.”

The Institute has also envisioned procuring projects from industries so that students can work on them to get first hand information of working on real life projects. While the students of all the five design disciplines will have a common one-year foundation programme, they will specialize in different areas of their choice in the remaining three years.
