Puma announced the takeover of its Turkish distribution firm, A C K, yesterday in Beyoglu at its Istiklal Caddesi store.
Involving itself directly in all areas of management, both will derive mutual benefits for now and in future too, said Jochen Zeitz, CEO and Chairman, Puma AG.
Puma has made similar moves on its China, Japan, Greece and Taiwan distributors, and Zeitz said the company will profit from taking over distribution of its products.
The partnership will help to make faster growth and acceptability in Turkey, said Cemal Bilgingüllüoglu, CEO of A.C.K.
Puma sports brands is received well by the young generation of Turkey and it is emerging as a well known brand, said Bilgingüllüoglu.
Puma, has become one of the well known names in sportswear and has recorded earnings of euros 1.8 billion last year.
