With 2012 the year of the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics, there has never been a better time to celebrate all things British. Pure London has selected some of the best home-grown labels at Pure London this August, all distinguished for designing and producing their collections in Britain.

Taisir Gibreel will showcase their luxurious ‘Art to wear’ fashion accessories collection.  The line draws inspiration from the colours and shapes found in the highlands and the geometric shapes and structures originating from Scottish Parliament building architecture.

Gibreels’ collections are inspired by original hand drawings of rural and urban Scottish landscapes. The designs celebrate colour, culture and diversity, reflecting her own Sudanese background and heritage.

Making a Pure London debut, Emma Burton creates her digitally printed textile designs from the minutiae of life. She then transforms the fabrics into highly desirable scarves, clothing, purses and handbags that are designed and made in the UK.

Her prints are characterized by their striking graphic imagery that is extracted from photographs that Emma takes herself. She is inspired by everything from retro plastic paraphernalia to nature and explores patterns, textures and colour within and around these themes. Expect warm neutral shades with highlights of chartreuse, electric blues and fuchsia pink.

Poppy, a proud ‘Made in Britain’ brand will be revealing two new detailed print fabrics this season at Pure London. Showing both children’s and women’s clothing, designer Bryony Richardson’s latest charming collection revisits little Poppy and her dog Fred as they set out to catch butterflies and blow dandelion clocks on a hazy summer day.

All are printed in England on 100% cotton sateen in bright, vibrant colours. Both women’s and children’s ranges include several charming dress designs inspired by the 1940s and 50s and, as always, each outfit comes with a storybook about Poppy’s newest exploits.

Young British designer Tania Zekkout reinvents the fashion accessory concept, making it a precious and audacious object that customizes the silhouette. Each piece is handmade creating accessories that reinvent clothing, making them unique, personal and timeless.
