The much-awaited and part of the four major international sartorial events, ‘Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013’ is back with a dazzling showcase of globally-renowned garment and accessory brands.

The nine-day-long, semi-annual apparel trade show will offer a series of around 95 mesmerising catwalk presentations by both established and emerging talents.

The first day of the fashion event was opened by the Parisian label ‘Impasse De La Defense’, which featured floor-length capes adorned with motifs, sheer layered tulle skirts, velvety nipped-waist jackets and tie-dyed and splash-printed dresses.

Paris-based South Korean fashion designer Moon Young Hee showcased a unique masculine-element-injected, feminine collection with a melange of opaque, sheer, structured and draped fabrics. The line includes charcoal grey suits in wide pin-stripes, asymmetric jackets and boxy wide skirts slit high up the back.

Alice Lemoine’s label ‘Le Moine Tricote’, meaning ‘The Monk Knits’ in English, featured nearly 14 soft, open knitted looks. The collection includes plunging grey and camel column dresses, short sleeveless outfits in black and gold knits, white tunics and sheer knee-length petticoats.

The opening day of the sartorial extravaganza was concluded by Anthony Vaccarello, who showcased micro skirts, draped tops and loose shoulder-strong jackets in classic black and white colours.
