Vivienne Westwood creates T-shirt in support of Assange

Vivienne Westwood, the famous English fashion designer and businesswoman, has come forward in support of the disgraced WikiLeaks editor-in-chief and founder Julian Assange by creating a radical unisex T-shirt named `I`m Julian Assange`.

The Australian-born, 41-year-old Assange’s whistle-blowing controversial website WikiLeaks has enraged many governments and political figures worldwide by publishing secret information, news leaks and several other classified documents.

He has sought diplomatic asylum at the Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he has been alleged over asexual assaults.

The T-shirts featuring a picture of Assange on the front will be exclusively available on the designer’s official website and the total amount of money collected from the sale of the T-shirts will help in funding Assange’s work, revealed Westwood.

The 71-year-old Westwood, who is a strong supporter of Assange, has been credited largely for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream.
