Hosiery maker Wolford joins up with Kenzo

French fashion house Kenzo and Wolford AG, the Austrian hosiery and lingerie retailer, will present their first joint collection for the Autumn/Winter 2006/07 season, which combines rich patterns inspired by ethnic art and precise knitting technology.
The renowned Kenzo brand fascinates with an unusual mix of eastern and western influences, traditional shapes and a multitude of cultural inspirations.
The wolford luxury brand develops these designs in bodies and tights, manufactured with signature perfection. It's a successful symbiosis of two creative and innovative brands which focus on creating comfortable and sophisticated fashion for modern cosmopolitans.
By joining forces with a knitting specialist, Kenzo extends its creativity to another field in fashion, embracing the freedom of the new technical possibilities offered by Wloford.
The result is a unique collection of legwear and bodies which more than ever confirms Kenzo's image as the luxury brand for expressive, even poetic fashion Holger Dahmen, Chief Executive Officer of the Wolford Group, emphasizes that "Cooperations with famous designer brands like Kenzo are an important driver for success and fashion attraction nowadays. Wolford AG, a company operating for over 50 years, is specializing in the manufacture and sales of high quality leg and bodywear, in particular stockings, tights, bodies, swimwear and lingerie in the luxury segment.
The Wolford AG runs 10 international branches and sells its goods through mono-brand boutiques and partners in 60 different countries worldwide. Through co-branding Wolford entered seasonal collaborations with famous international designers, such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Philipp Starck and currently Vivienne Westwood, Karl Lagerfeld and Emilio Pucci for fall 2004 Wolford has also been producing tights and bodies for the Italian world brand Giorgio Armani through a license agreement.
