Titan plans retail space expansion of 1,00,000 sq ft

With retail space set to increase to around 1,00,000 square feet in near future throughout the country, Titan has launched into an expansion mode for its watches and jewelry segments.
To implement this concept, space has been booked in 72 malls coming up throughout the country. The retail outlets in these malls would be less than 1,500 square feet, said Bijou Kurien, Chief Operating Officer of Titan.
Titan plans investing around Rs 50 crore spread over a three year period for expansion of its watches and jewellery sections, he said.
Presently business is carried on through 180 exclusive Titan showrooms, 135 time zones, ten Sonata stores and one exclusive Pilot Raga store at the Bangalore mall, by Titan.
