Sri Lanka's finest handlooms on display at Ransalu show

A fashion show featuring colourful and finest handloom items from Sri Lanka drew eyes at the 22nd Annual National Textile Exhibition “Ransalu”, a leading textile industry event organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
Participants from the public and private sectors like Ko-Lanka Pure Silk (Pvt) Ltd and Fashion Design & Product Development section of University of Moratuwa showcased their handloom collection at the two-day event.
Models at the show displayed handloom designs, including collection of regional handloom manufacturing units featuring regional designs.
Also on display at the show was work of Premasiri Hewavasam, a renowned personality of Sri Lankan fashion industry.
Dignitaries including First Lady Madam Shiranthi W. Rakapaksa, Ministry of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen, Anura Siriwardene, Secretary, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, senior officials of Ministry and several other diplomats graced the event with their presence.
