Designer Preeti Ghai unveils Regal Couture collection

Designer Preeti Ghai, in association with make-up expert Aashmeen Munjaal, has recently unveiled ‘Regal Couture Collection and Make-Up Trends 2013’.

Preeti Ghai’s collection epitomizes a new kind of sophistication for today’s self-conscious women. The collection included sarees, jacket lehnga, gown with long jacket, princess gown, kalidar anarkalis, etc.

At the launch, actress Mahima Choudhary, actress Nagma and other models were seen wearing Preeti Ghai’s regal couture collection. And to complement the designer’s creation, hair stylist and make-up expert Aashmeen Munjaal gave Victorian and regal look to the models and the actresses.

The new collection can be described as ‘Traditional with hint of modernity’ focused on the use of velvet, Kashmiri thread embroidery, appliqué work, beautiful embellishment and use of Swarovski with good placement, without making the look of the outfit heavy and overworked.

Elaborating on Preeti’s collection, actress Mahima Choudhary said, “I really like the placement work that Preeti uses in her creation. Her creation enhances the beauty and makes the person elegant.”

Actress Nagma said, "Preeti's collection is really good as it makes you look thinner and younger."

Designer Preeti Ghai told fibre2fashion, “My forte is Indian formal wear. Playing with fabric has always been inspiring. I believe ,velvet would be a big hit among fashion connoisseur in 2013 so you would find use of rich velvets, sheer nets, king khab in most of my creations, which are fine amalgamation of modern with a traditional and regal flavour.”
