Trade fair event organizer Igedo Company informed that mens knitwear suppliers Breidhof, Baur with their brands Enzo Lorenzo and Mode Monte Carlo as well as shirt producers Kings Road, Hatico including the second label Pure, Key West and Haupt opted unanimously for participation at CPD DÜSSELDORF from 5 to 7 February 2006 as the only German exhibition location to be used for the next season.
While Breidhof only confirmed its single-location strategy consistently pursued over the past seasons with this move once again, all other companies are sending out an unmistakeable, new signal for the sector: Hatico, Key West and Haupt gave up their stands at the B-in-Berlin, which they had used as an exclusive exhibition platform for Germany over the past two seasons, once they had registered for CPD.
Mode Monte Carlo and Kings Road, who used both locations so far, also withdrew their applications for space at B-in-Berlin.
The Baur, which had not attended any fairs over the past few years whatsoever, underlines with its decision the paramount importance of CPD DÜSSELDORF in taking international orders especially for menswear.
The decision taken by these companies can be regarded as an initial result of the PRO DÜSSELDORF INITIATIVE launched by the Confederation of German Knitwear Manufacturers (Gesamtverband der deutschen Maschen-Industrie e.V.).
After consultation with the management spokesman of the IGEDO COMPANY, Mr. Frank Hartmann, andIGEDO s Project Director for menswear, Mr. Wolfgang May, the Vice-General Manager Reinhard E. Döpfer invited 30 key players in the shirt/trousers/knits segment to Stuttgart on 5 October 2005.
