This meeting was prompted by an increasing number of powerhouse brands in this segment voicing their intention to centralise at CPD with its undisputed attraction for foreign buyers especially from Central and Eastern Europe for the next round of orders.
Jens Strangemann, Managing Partner of King s Road, comments his decision: During the past two seasons we even managed generating excellent export leads at our secondary stand.
With our exclusive concentration on CPD we now see the opportunity to not only tap into further export potential but also cash in on the extremely central geographical situation of the trade fair at the heart of Europe s mostly densely populated metroplitan area with excellent traffic links.
This view is shared by Hatico-General Manager Hubert Andritzky: “Our company is currently going through an expansionary phase with a clear focus on exports. At the last two fairs in Berlin we did reach our existing customers but failed to address sufficient numbers from important export markets.”
In view of the intense contacts with the industry currently maintained the IGEDO COMPANY expects to receive further registrations rounding off the menswear ranges at CPD over the next few days.
In 2002, Igedo has taken over menswear from the Cologne Men's Fashion Week and now features all segments of apparel at cpd woman_man in Düsseldorf – the fair previously restricted to womenswear only.
