Thomas Rath debuts premium women's trouser line

After the staging of the Thomas Rath Semi Couture 2013/14 Autumn/Winter collection the second part of the show was announced on a loud drum roll: the premiere of the new label Thomas Rath Trousers. To marching music a male dandy dressed in 20s-style attire led the female models out onto the catwalk.

The models presented some 20 trouser styles in the premium women’s trouser collection which – with that typical Thomas Rath flair – combines influences from British country style, Berlin living rooms and dolce vita. The audience saw trousers from all three theme worlds in the collection – Business, Hot Fashion and Sporty: such as trendily coloured, 5-pocket skinny styles with skull studs, faded velvet trousers with a narrow silhouette, unusual jodhpurs in strong tones, elegant trousers with lace jacquard plus brocade with opulent rhinestone buttons.

With their exquisite fabrics, loving attention to detail and perfect fit Thomas Rath Trousers will be available from selected retail outlets from Summer 2013.

Also featuring among the evening’s models were famous faces like “Germany’s next Topmodel” candidate Joana Damek, winner of the TV show “Das perfekte Model” Anika Scheibe, timeless beauty Evelyn Hall as well as Julia Baus – famous from the “Million Dollar Shootingstar” show – along with top model Bar Rafaeli. Also modelling the collection presenter Frauke Ludowig followed the show both on stage and behind the scenes with the camera team from her RTL show Exclusiv. Singer Kim Fischer provided musical highlights.
