220 collections on display at The Gallery Dusseldorf

For the second time, the Botschaft (Embassy) on Cecilienallee presents itself as the central meeting place for the fashion sector from 1 to 4 February 2013, the main ordering days in Düsseldorf. Thanks to the structural work done, it was possible to currently enlarge the exhibition space of THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF in the listed building by 400 m².

This means that approx. 20 more brands will be on display compared to our initial event in the summer of last year. All in all, a little less than 220 collections from 15 exhibitor countries will show their trends for the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2013/14 season on 5,000 m² of exhibition space.

“We were fully booked at the end of last year. Due to the completed refurbishments, we have been able to add some exciting brands to our existing collection portfolio for the retail sector”, says Project Manager Elke Sautter. “We are especially pleased that we could register a high rate of international exhibitors for this event. A little less than 50% of our companies come from abroad, primarily from France and Italy”.

THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF shows trendsetting Contemporary Fashion with relevance for the retail sector as well as Designers and Accessories. The interesting mix of collections was extended by numerous first-time exhibitors like: C’IVETTE MODE I DERHY I ELEMENTE CLEMENTE I EVA KAYAN I GIOVANNI I GIX I GUXY I I CASHMERISSIMI I IGOR DOBRANIC I JOSE ROCA I JOANNA HAWROT I KASHMIR ARTS I LES FILLES D’AILLEURS I MASHIAH ARRIVE I MIA MAI I MYS SHOES I NASCHBAG I NÖR DENMARK I OLGA SANTONI I PETER O.MAHLER I SARAH PACINI I SULU I SUMMUM I SUSSKIND I TERESA CAMBI I TRINE KRYGER SIMONSEN I WAX I WEILL. And brands and designers such as ANNIKKI KARVINEN I AZIZI I CUIR ROYAL I FOX’S I LAUREN VIDAL I NELLY JOHANSSON I NOOK...FASHION I OSKA I PETRA MEIREN I THE SWISS LABEL I ÜMIT ÜNAL I WILD I YIANNIS KARITSIOTIS etc. are represented again.

The meeting point of THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF is the catering area in the outdoor section of our location. For this event, it has been designed like an American diner, and a ‘tentscape’ was set up to protect visitors against the winter cold. Lime Line, the event caterer, introduces a suitable highlight in the former US Consulate General with its 1976 Airstream caravan.

For the first time, the ordering days in Düsseldorf will be held as an element of the CPD master brand. It includes all trade fairs, events and showrooms hosted in the city on the main ordering days of the fashion week. The CPD brand enjoys very strong international recognition, and both the retail sector and industry associate it with the core competence of the order business. Given this fact, there will be a shuttle service connecting all relevant fashion locations in Düsseldorf, and this includes the Botschaft.
