Manish Malhotra launches his label in Pune

Manish Malhotra, the most favoured fashion designer of the Indian film industry, has finally decided to branch out in unexplored territories by launching his label in different Indian cities.

The designer has recently released his clothing label in Pune with a high on glam fashion show featuring his latest collection for both men and women.

Featuring diffusion and couture ensembles, the designer unveiled his Bollywood-inspired colourful Indian evening wear line at the city’s multi-designer store Rudraksh.

His womenswear creations include a range of Kashmiri and chikankari pieces from the Mizwan collection, such as heavily embellished lehengas, long anarkali suits and pants-cum-lehengas in lilac, pink, green, red, cream, white and warm brown tones.

The 48-year-old designer’s menswear line features exquisite sherwanis and bandhgalas.

Considered as one of India’s most successful fashion designers, Malhotra has designed for high-profile celebrities like Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor.

Operated by veteran Indian actress Shabana Azmi, Mizwan Welfare Society is an NGO in Uttar Pradesh.
