The Gallery Berlin moves to new location

They impress with a Berlin-typical charm and are among the city’s most extraordinary locations: the Opernwerkstätten (an abandoned opera prop factory) in Berlin-Mitte will be the new home for the fashion trade show THE GALLERY BERLIN from next Fashion Week. All in all three times the number of collections shown at Café Moskau can so far be accommodated here.

Commenting on the move Philipp Kronen, Managing Partner of Igedo Company, said: “Café Moskau has been a wonderful venue for our event but has finally grown too small for us. In the Opernwerkstätten we have found an ideal alternative exhibition space to make our enlargement wishes come true. This means we are taking an important step towards our further development at the Berlin location. To us this more than anything means growth!”

Elke Sautter, Project Director of THE GALLERY BERLIN adds: “This move enables us to further extend our place on the Berlin fashion scene! We will open up to new segments and present more national and international brands. This means we will offer buyers an even more exciting range and a consistent collection portfolio as a whole.”

The Opernwerkstätten are located centrally in Berlin-Mitte right next to the underground stop “Naturkundemuseum” and within walking distance from Nordbahnhof train station. Numerous hot spots of the city and the leading trade fairs are also in the immediate vicinity. The venue is extremely hip in Berlin. At the last Fashion Week Hugo Boss presented his minimalist Hugo Collection in this cool setting; and the hugely successful pop-up restaurant Pret à Diner organised by internationally renowned event caterer Kofler & Companie also made a guest appearance here: www.pretadiner.com

From 2 – 4 July 2013 THE GALLERY BERLIN will already present trendsetting contemporary fashion, design and accessories in the German capital for the fourth time now. On show this time will be the trends for the 2014 Spring/Summer season. The brand mix is versatile and each collection has a claim to individuality. And this is also why the trade show claim reads: Committed to Individuality.
