Sulakshana's collection portrays stronger side of women

Sulakshana's new collection had a smarter and characterised look, portraying the stronger side of women.

The essence of the collection was Indian but the structure was contemporary. The silhouettes were well constructed by traditional and western mixes to create a story.

The clothes had detailed thread embroideries and patchwork.

The fabrics used in the collection were silk, chiffon, Georgette and chanderi. A limited fusion of jersey knit gave an extra edge to the collection.

Expelled Samajwadi Party MP Amar Singh graced the front row at the show along with actress-politician Vani Tripathi.

Dressed in white kurta pyjama, Singh chose to enjoy the show sitting at the front row and earlier in the day he also gave away the prizes to fashion photographers in a contest held here at the Pragati Maidan.
