Joanna Lumley launches digital Zandra Rhodes collection

Famous English actress and voice-over artist Joanna Lumley has joined hands with the England-based University for the Creative Arts (UCA) to launch a digital archive of some of the sumptuous designs created by veteran fashion designer Zandra Rhodes.
Titled as Zandra Rhodes Digital Study Collection, the website will offer an unprecedented access to images of 500 extraordinary dresses, created by the English designer, for Princess Diana, Jackie Onassis and Elizabeth Taylor.
Serving as an educational resource for fashion or textile designers and researchers, the digital catalogue will also include nearly 1000 personal sketches and behind-the-scene footages shot at Rhodes’ personal atelier.
Boasting of a successful design career, spanning five decades, 72-year-old Rhodes still commands an impressive client list with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Sarah Jessica Parker and Paris Hilton.
Famous for her bright pink hair and cutting-edge designs, Zandra Rhodes was appointed UCA’s first Chancellor in 2010.
