The Télémaque Foundation, created under the impetus of the PPR group, was officially inaugurated on 1st February 2006.
In partnership with the French Ministry for Education, the Télémaque Foundation has tasked itself with accompanying and supporting talented and motivated pupils, high school interns students and from underprivileged backgrounds throughout their studies.
The foundation is based on two key actions: it is putting in place merit scholarships for pupils and is making tutors available to them, chosen on a volunteer basis, from among the employees from affiliated companies.
The Télémaque Foundation currently counts four partner institutions, some twenty scholarship students and seven companies who are affiliated or in the process of becoming affiliated. These figures are set to more than double in the year to come.
On 1st February, all those involved in the Foundation – pupils, tutors and institutional leaders – were brought together for the first time.
In addition to Télémaque's executive committee (made up of François-Henri Pinault, Jean-Noël Labroue, Chairman and CEO of the Kesa group, Bernard Stasi, President of the Foundation and of the Fondation de France), Gilles de Robien, the French Minister for Education, was present.
Everyone thus had the opportunity to confirm his commitment and wish long life to Télémaque.
