JC Penney & Bagir roll out new 'Stafford Washable Wardrobe'

For spring 2006, the JC Penney Company Inc and Bagir Ltd have joined forces to introduce the Stafford Washable Wardrobe.

The machine-washable and dryable suiting separates debut this month exclusively in over 500 JC Penney department stores nationwide.

Produced by Bagir, the Stafford Washable Wardrobe offers customers beautifully tailored clothing with the convenience of sportswear.

"JC Penney introduced our exclusive washable, wool-blend wardrobe to Stafford suit customers just three years ago, and men across America consider them fashion staples," said Lana Cain, executive vice president and general merchandise manager for men's apparel at JC Penney.

"Now, following extensive testing in our labs, we can announce that the collection is dryable and representative of a best-in-class commitment to our customers who demand that style must make good sense, too."

Suits of the same wool/poly/Lycra blends underwent 30 washes and 30 tumble-dry cycles, with technicians assessing the results after every five cycles. When compared to dry-cleaning suits in the same fabric 30 times, the Stafford Washable Wardrobe proved to show either identical or better results.

"This is a breakthrough in men's tailored clothing," said Offer Gilboa, CEO of Bagir Ltd. "We commend JC Penney for their foresight in embracing this collection and incorporating it into the Stafford Washable Wardrobe collection."

The JC Penney exclusive, Stafford Washable Wardrobe includes wool-blend suit separates in tan, navy pinstripe and gray pinstripe. All jackets and trousers are sized and sold separately to offer a custom fit. The washability and wearability of this JCPenney collection also comes at a very reasonable price, $200 for the European-styled, two-button jacket and $100 for the plain-front trouser.
