Benchmark Brands unveils WalkSmart comfort footwear

Leading direct-to-consumer retailer of lower body healthcare products, specialty socks and hosiery, and comfort shoes Benchmark Brands introduces WalkSmart -- the new authority in good looking comfort footwear targeted to baby boomers.

WalkSmart will premier in an initial 48 page catalog that will be in homes this April as will its complementary retail website, http://www.walksmart.com.

WalkSmart is the first direct to consumer collection of shoes and shoe accessories exclusively chosen and designed to promote foot comfort and health with style.

WalkSmart is the second catalog and website from Benchmark Brands Inc, which launched FootSmart in 1998.

"In the past, people, especially women, were forced to choose between comfortable shoes and stylish shoes," said Lisa Rosenbaum, Executive Vice President, Merchandising for Benchmark Brands Inc.

"Today, regardless of age, women are busy and active.

They don't have time for pinched toes, pain and blisters, yet they're unwilling to forgo a good looking shoe.

With new and advanced technology in both shoe design and materials, Benchmark Brands challenged its merchants to select shoes that combine the comfort of an athletic shoe with the good looks of a dress or casual shoe," added Rosenbaum.

The WalkSmart collection includes Benchmark Brand's favorite picks of European and American branded footwear that fit the WalkSmart comfort and style criteria.
