Itochu buys 3.3% equity interest in Antichi Pellettieri for €10m

At present, MBFG has 241 boutiques world-wide located in the world's most prestigious luxury centres. Within Asia, AP has 2 Direct Stores (Braccialini in Hong Kong (IFC Mall) and Fashion Island), 7 franchisees, (1 Braccialini in Shanghai (City Plaza) and 1 Baldinini in Shanghai, 2 Francesco Biasia, 1 in Hong Kong (IFC Mall) and Seoul, Korea) and 3 Coccinelle (2 in Singapore and 1 in Tokyo) and 33 Shop in Shops and corners.
Together with Itochu, AP plans on expanding its retail presence to over 40 franchisees, and 500 shop-in-shops and corners in department stores and specialty retailers in Japan and in other countries in the Far East by 2008.
Tomio Hosoi, Group Director (Textile) of Itochu Europe Plc, said, “Investment is only the first step in developing a long-term relationship between Itochu and our international partners and we are confident in our ability to further develop AP brands including Braccialini, FrancescoBiasia, Coccnielle, and Baldinini in Japan and in other countries in the Far East and to help the group realize its growth objectives in the region”.
