Blue blooded Wadiyar offers Royal couture

Srikanta Datta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, the last living heir of the Mysore Wadiyar dynasty, displayed his spring-summer royal line of silks and sarees at the Palace.
His wife, Pramoda Devi Wadiyar was also present with him on the special night.
Wadiyar plans to open his exclusive outlets in Mumbai and New Delhi, soon.
He informed the press that the collection was inspired from the Babri embroidery designs on silk georgette and silk chiffon.
Babri designs were a vogue during Tipu Sultan's reign, popularized especially by him as well as his courtiers.
As for the colours, the puranic and tantric texts became and inspiration.
This 'Royal House of Mysore' brand includes Zardosi sarees, Kundan bridal wear, lehengas and cholis, ghagras and and wide range of blouses.
