CPM Moscow cheered by sixth record buyers attendance in a row

The results of the survey conducted among visitors underlined the high standing of the IGEDO event on the Russian fashion market. The number of first-time visitors amounted to 14 percent, the proportion of foreign visitors totaled 13 percent. Particularly noteworthy is the high proportion of regular visitors: 43 percent of visitors have attended CPM Moscow three times or more.
In terms of the provenance of Russian trade visitors the metropolitan area of Moscow dominated once again at 44 percent, followed by St Petersburg and surroundings (14 percent) as well as the surroundings of Jekaterinenburg (14 percent). 10 percent of visitors came from regions further east while approximately 8 percent of CPM visitors came from regions in southern Russia (Wolgograd etc.).
In terms of the visitor profile specialist apparel retailers were the most important group of visitors to CPM Moscow at 86 percent, followed by department stores at 7.5 percent, importers/exporters and wholesalers at 3.9 percent. Other types of business such as discounters and self-service hypermarkets are very much on the decline – a trend that underscores the growing focus on the high-end and exclusive fashion segments. 80 percent of trade fair visitors were decision-makers.
The average stay per person amounted to 2.2 days. According to visitors' statements buyers' interest primarily focused on collections in the up-market segment. Roughly one fourth of the intented pre-orders were placed at CPM – Collection Premiere Moscow.
The seventh CPM – Collection Premiere Moscow will take place at the Krasnaya Presnaya Expocentr exhibition centre from 6 to 9 September 2006.
