GBMI names Martin McDermut to Senior VP, CFO

Leading multi-branded fashion company Global Brand Marketing Inc (GBMI) has announced the appointment of Martin McDermut to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
In this position, McDermut will be responsible for all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management, budgeting and forecasting.
Killick Datta, Chairman and CEO of Global Brand Marketing Inc, said, "GBMI continues to exceed expectations and I now plan to sell a minority interest in GBMI to capitalize the company for both growth and acquisitions."
"Martin's extensive background in financial management and his significant accomplishments in raising capital will be a tremendous asset to GBMI," Datta said.
Before joining GBMI, McDermut 'CPA' was Senior VP and CFO of Superconductor Technologies, a developer and manufacturer of RF superconducting and other products for wireless networks. Prior to that, he was VP and CFO of International Remote Imaging Systems Inc, an international diagnostic medical equipment manufacturer of IVD imaging systems and supplies.
McDermut holds over 20 years of progressive and successful experience in all phases of finance/accounting and general management and has also served in senior financial executive positions at Pet Metro Inc and Price Waterhouse Coopers.
McDermut will be based out of GBMI's corporate office in Santa Barbara, CA and reporting to CEO Killick Datta.
Global Brand Marketing Inc is the majority owner of Pony International, LLC, owner of Dry-shoD and FunFlopps brands, retail store chain Global Feet, and is the authorized global footwear licensee of Diesel, XOXO, Nautica, Harlem Globetrotters, Doggy Biscuitz by Snoop Dogg and Mecca.
Based in Santa Barbara, CA, GBMI designs, develops and markets stylish footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women, and children, and is distributed in over 140 countries worldwide.
