Charles David & Louis Verdad joins for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Footwear maker Charles David teams up with Los Angeles designer, Louis Verdad, as the exclusive footwear provider for his Fall 2006 collection, which will be shown on Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Smashbox Studios on opening day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles.
The runway presentation will incorporate three exclusive footwear styles from the Charles David and Exchange by Charles David lines.
"They are thrilled to collaborate with an LA based designer who continues to emerge and flourish in the fashion industry.
After meeting with Louis and learning more about his 1940s punk-era collection and his vision for Fall 2006, they carefully selected three bold styles that they knew would best complete his looks," said Charles Malka, CEO and President, Charles David.
The featured shoes from the Exchange by Charles David line include a patent leather round toe platform pump with a thick stacked heel and a patent leather open toe platform sandal with a stacked heel.
For Louis Verdad's evening collection, a sleek patent leather and satin sling-back pump will be highlighted from the Charles David line.
The patent colors will range from bright red to caramel brown to jet black.
The three exclusive styles will be available for purchase for a limited time at the Charles David Beverly Center retail location in Los Angeles.
Charles David was founded in 1987 as a wholesale distribution company bringing European shoes to the US market.
