Zumiez's Q4 sales gain 42.3% due to excellent team work

Leading specialty retailer of action sports related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories Zumiez Inc reported results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended January 28, 2006.
Total net sales for the fourth quarter (13 weeks) ended January 28, 2006 increased by 42.3 percent to $75.4 million from $53.0 million reported in the fourth quarter (13 weeks) of the prior fiscal year.
The company posted net income for the quarter of $6.8 million or $0.47 per diluted share versus net income of $4.2 million or $0.32 per diluted share in the fourth quarter of the prior fiscal year.
Comparable store sales increased 20.7 percent for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2005 compared to 12.5 percent in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2004.
On a full year basis, total net sales for fiscal 2005 increased by 33.9 percent to $205.6 million from $153.6 million reported in the prior year.
The company posted net income of $12.9 million or $0.94 per diluted share in fiscal 2005 versus $7.3 million or $0.56 per diluted share in the prior fiscal year.
Comparable store sales increased 14.2 percent in fiscal 2005 compared to 9.6 percent in fiscal 2004.
