U-boat wrist watch with 53-mm face in diametre

Watch-lovers get ready to wrap your wrist with a watch having a face size 53 millimetres in diameter.
Mounir Moufarrige, the celebrated fashion guru is to promote a range of large U-Boat wrist watches in partnership with Italian designer Italo Fontana.
The launch of new watch is after the market testing over three years in Italy and Belgium.
Fontana has been developing his U-Boat watch brand for seven years. The launch of the new watch in Paris comes before the Basel World watch industry fair next week.
New design has broken the old rules of watch manufacturing, which follow sub-53 millimetres face size for the last 150 years, said Fontana.
He said the U-boat already had distribution at 220 stores around the world.
This latest edition of watches are priced at around $2,000.
